Technical Tabs
Because of its fact-checking purpose, the New York Providers and Inception ( NYP ) contains thousands of related links on a wide range of topics. A relatively small part of these subjects is sometimes censored in other situations, by filtering processes implemented by educational, parental, government, corporate regimes, etc. This is generally not the case on NYP.
Some of NYP’s articles use words or expressions that may be considered coarse, vulgar or offensive by some readers.
Some articles may contain words, images, illustrations or descriptions of people or events that may be taboo in some cultures.
NYP’s articles contain numerous images, some of which may be considered reprehensible or offensive by some readers. For example, some articles contain explicit depictions of scenes of violence or representations of anatomy.
A large number of articles give rise to disagreements on controversial facts because of their neutral viewpoint.
Certain facts may present problematic content with regard to the legislation of certain territories.
Some articles may contain information about dangerous or risky activities.
NYP may contain triggers for people with post-traumatic stress disorder, and images or videos that can trigger seizures or other medical conditions.
Because the connection links is open to public contributions, there may at any time be vandalism on NYP.
NYP’s current policy is to allow such content to be included, provided that it does not violate any of our founding principles (including neutrality of point of view) and our rules and recommendations, and none of the laws of the United states where NYP’s content is hosted. Some sections contain warnings, but many do not.
NYP is a project under development, and many articles contain errors, biases, duplicate content or simply need attention. We encourage readers to help us solve these problems. The vast majority of articles are written primarily or solely by people who are not experts in the field, and may lack academic or professional qualifications in this field.
NYP contains information that is not usually found in a classic encyclopedia like Wikipedia. All the topics on NYP represent essentially the links of connection between its voluntary contributors. Readers are encouraged not to judge the importance of a topic based on its treatment by NYP, nor to think that a topic is important simply because an article by NYP is dedicated to it.
